Clinical Research

Research Platform 2

This teams focus is clinical research – the study of bone health and disease in people. It helps us discover if new treatments, tests, or ways of caring for patients are safe and truly work in real life. It’s how science turns into better health.

This team aims to:

  • Find out what bone health research matters most to patients, scientists, researchers & healthcare professionals. Then encourage Canadian researchers to focus on these priorities.

  • Create and implement effective ways for OsNET members to collaborate especially on those projects deemed to be a priority.

2025 Focus

  • Identify the top 10 bone research priorities in Canada. First through a survey of patients, health professionals & researchers. Then bringing representatives from each group together to jointly identify what bone research matters most & focus on where we can make the most difference.

Once these key research priorities are identified we will encourage OsNET teams & members to design projects aligned with these priorities.

  • Host a speed networking event – a time-limited event where OsNET members can rapidly meet and interact with multiple individuals to exchange information and build connections. The primary aim is to build a wide network of bone health contacts and establish initial connections for future bone health research.
