OsNET Summer School
Sunday June 15 – Friday June 20, 2025
“Summer school was an incredible opportunity. It gave me the skills and language to be able to expand my research program into bone imaging. We have used that knowledge to apply for an internal grant, for which we were successful, and have two additional national competitions that we applied to. Summer school was instrumental in laying that foundation. Beyond that, it was incredible to see how wonderful so many of the trainees around Canada are, and to build collaborations with researchers across Canada. It’s been such a pleasure running into the facilitators at conferences and how we’ve been able to chat, connect and learn more about each other’s research programs.”

In addition, the program will also cover aspects of the CIHR peer review process for grants/scholarships, patient engagement and collaborating with Indigenous communities. While some experience in programming (e.g., Matlab, Python) will strongly benefit the applicant it is not essential. Should any applicant have questions about their suitability for the summer school, they are encouraged to contact Meghan (Meghan.Donaldson@ucalgary.ca).
