Platform aims:

  • This platform will focus on the mechanisms of bone metabolism, its impact on bone mass and quality, and how it is influenced by lifestyle factors, genetics and disease.
  • We will include bone, muscle, fat, joint, and neural interactions related to musculoskeletal health for common bone disorders and rare bone diseases spanning childhood to older age.
  • There is an emphasis on the identification of new pharmacological targets and novel use of drugs already available.
  • Methodologies such as imaging, biomechanics, and advanced analytics including machine learning are important and link to clinical research.
